How to Use Webideo

  1. Upload your video — its info (duration, codecs, resolution, and more) shows up automatically.
  2. Select one of the operations from the dropdown.
  3. Fill in the input fields for that operation.
  4. Run it, wait for your video to process, and download the generated output.

Supported Operations

Operations are grouped in the dropdown. Highlights:

Note: some operations require re-encoding and depend on the codecs built into this app's FFmpeg WebAssembly build — if one fails, the error message from FFmpeg is shown so you know why.

How to Use the Command Line

Prefer raw commands? The Command Line page gives you a terminal-style interface over FFmpeg and FFprobe, compiled to WebAssembly and run entirely in your browser.

  1. Upload your input file.
  2. Pick the engine — ffmpeg or ffprobe. Only the selected engine's WASM is loaded, so switching unloads the other.
  3. Type the arguments you'd normally pass after ffmpeg/ffprobe on a real command line (e.g. -i input.mp4 -ss 00:00:05 -t 10 output.mp4) and hit Run.
  4. Output streams into the terminal log; any file the command produces is offered for download.
